Brisbane Southbank – By Night

Dear Readers,

Eventhough, it has been over a year now that I have left Australia, I wanted to share the rest of my destinations with you. My last post was about the Southbank of Brisbane during daylight, but it has at least as much to offer during nighttime. I can’t tell you what I prefer between the nightlights of Southbank or lying on the greens and at the pool during daytime, enjoying the view of Brisbane’s skyline.

Home

For most of the people I know, home is a warm welcoming place with great memories, generally the house where they grew up.

For a long time, my parents home was my definition of home too. But as I moved out and started my studies and had to moove more and more and my friends were all moving to different cities, countries and continents, the word home changed its definition and I got another perspective of it.

Back for Good

Dear Readers,

If you are reading this blog or have been reading it, I want to apologize for not having updatet this page in a very long time (11 months). The past year was quite crazy and weird (perhaps I will write another time about it) but I promise, that I will make up for it.

So thank you, for those who will be reading this, for your understanding, if nobody reads this or the blog, then I will work even harder to make my site even more enjoyable!!

Thank you and you will be reading me very soon again!

Have a lovely Saturday Night and Sunday.

Love Aline…

Brisbane – Southbank

Hi Guys,

here is my post, that I promised you some time ago, about Brisbane – Southbank, one of the most beautiful places I have been, or should I say one of the most beautiful parts of a city I have ever seen. I could really stay a whole day or more just wandering around Southbank, sitting on a bench in the rainforest park or on the greens. Swimming in the free access, open air pool with a sand beach, enjoying the amazing view on the Skyline or taking a ride at sunset on the fairies wheel and enjoying later a cocktail and a delicious meal at one of the many fantastic bars and restaurants.

Noosa Beach

My trip to Noosa Beach was only a short afternoon trip but it was a lovely one. There is not much to say about it except the beach is paradisiac with it’s white sand, turquoise water and palm trees. You will enjoy looking at the surfers performing some stunts and then perhaps walk around the main street of Noosa looking at the little boutiques and enjoying a coffee or a meal at one of the many delightful cafes and bistrots.

Tourists say Noosa is the St Tropez of Australia, having worked in St Tropez for 3 months last summer I can say they are right. But St Tropez with a very marked australian touch. More of an australian jetset than international like in St Tropez and less crowded also. St Tropez with a touch of Surfers Paradise and the relaxed atmosphere of the australian seaside. At night it is especially charming with all the lights beeing on and people just relaxing with a drink at one of the many bars, enjoying the cooler temperatures.

Enjoy the pictures.

Brisbane

So as promised here comes my article about Brisbane, which has become one of my favourite cities in the world. In this article I will display the CBD and botanical garden. I’ll post another time about Southbank as it is worth a post on its own.

If you arrive to Brisbane as we did by train, one of the first things you will see is a hostel – Base Backpackers Brisbane Central – in old colonial style. When we were there in October they would show in the bar all the games of the Rugby World Cup. Unfrtunately we didn’t have the opportunity to go on the rooftop bar, but it is planned when we return on January to Brisbane.

Bribie Island

If you stay in the Brisbane Region, you won’t come around taking a ride to Bribie Island. It is a beautiful island, approximatively 80km long and the only island in Queensland, which is connected by a bridge to the main land. Bribie has the most beautiful and diverse beaches. If you are looking for high waves to surf for example, you should go to the ocean side, as the wind and current are stronger on that side. The sunrise is also to be seen on that side and you have a good view on Moreton Island.

Flight KE 906 / Flight KE 123 Korean Air

My adventure began on the 8th of October 2015 as we took (my cousin travels with me) at 19:40 the flight KE 906 from Frankfurt am Main (Germany) to Seoul/Incheon (South Korea). We arrived at 13:05 local time and were first of all really tired as it still was 06:00 am for us. But at the sight of the Terminal we arrived at Seoul/Incheon, our minds were quickly awake.
